SLAYER frontman Tom Araya is featured in a new interview with Daniel Brockman at The Boston Phoenix. An excerpt is available below:

Araya: "Everything we do, everything we write, everything we create, we do because it has a cool factor. We just want to be heavier and more intense than anything. One of us will come up with something, and it might make us go, 'Fuck!' — but inside we'll be thinking, 'That is so cool, people are going to shit!'"

"We don't have a message, or set out to do anything like that. We might have opinions, but that's about it. We're not trying to sell anybody anything."

As previously reported, 107.7 The Bone caught up with Slayer's Kerry King for an interview on The Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival 2012.

During the interview, when asked about Slayer's future, King responds: "Well, we've got two songs recorded, that keeps getting flown around like, maybe it's going to be an EP, maybe it isn't. I'd just assume wait for the record to get done, and after Mayhem I think the plan is August/September finish the record. Unlike the rest of the modern world, when you do a record, it still takes three months from the minute you hand it in... that being said, if it's done in September, it's not gonna come out in December - it'll probably be out in January."
