DARKSIDE Begin Work On New Album
August 12, 2012, 12 years ago
Austria's DARKSIDE has announced that they have begun work on a new album.
The new album will be entitled Inferno and will feature 17 tracks. The album is monothematic and features an adaption of the true story of Madeleine de la palude, a woman living in 17th century France at the time of the inquisition. Being abused by her father’s friend, a priest, she tries to escape by becoming a nun, but this gets her even more into the fangs of the priest.
According to a press release: “The story is also an accusation towards monotheistic religions and their archaic rites and practises, now and then.”
All 12 songs for the album are finished in their basics and are now in the arranging, vocal lines and solo stages. There will be also 5 instrumental tracks on the album, based on pieces of classical music, to illustrate parts of the story and/or their characters.
Artwork for the album was done by French artist Kewin Miceli (CRADLE OF FILTH, PENDACT, XXXX, SEPULTURA). It will be released soon.
