August 27, 2012, 12 years ago
Canadian rockers KILLINGER have just been tapped as support for BLACK LABEL SOCIETY on their upcoming run of Canadian tour dates in late October and early November. Prior to the commencement of these dates, Killinger will be play two benefit shows in support of The Alberta Diabetes Foundation in Calgary and Edmonton, respectively.
Killinger's FOYTonic, a proprietary Korean Red Ginseng drink created by Killinger axeman Kevin Morin, will be sold on site at these shows, with all sales proceeds being donated to the charity. For his "day job", Morin is a licensed physician and educator with a PhD in Pharmaceutical Science and a specialty in psychiatric training, as well as certification in Medical Acupuncture and a thorough knowledge of Asian medicine. FOYTonic (Fountain Of Youth Tonic) is currently in clinical trials in Canada as a functional beverage that may help control blood sugar in glucose-intolerant individuals.
