ETERNAL OATH Begin Working On New Material For 2013 Release; Demo Track Posted
August 28, 2012, 12 years ago
Swedish melodic death metal act ETERNAL OATH have decided to reunite after a 5-year absence.
Says the group: "After 15 years, we needed this break. From the band, from each other, and to be able to focus on other things in life for a while. Now we are back with a new perspective, recharched batteries and tons of new ideas. It has been truly fun to exchange ideas and start rehearsing again."
The new Eternal Oath lineup consists of four of the founding members, with Peter Nagy-Eklof and Petri Tarvainen on guitar, Ted
Jonsson on drums and Joni Mäensivu on vocals. They also have strengthened their forces with two new members, Mika Kajanen
on bass and Johan Adler on keyboards.
"The new guys brings so much to the table, they fill the gaps perfectly and makes the band feel solid and complete, something we've been striving for a long time."The band has started working on new material and a new album expected to be released in 2013.
An update from the band states: "As you probably noticed it's been pretty quiet on our side but the songwriting process for the new album has taken up a lot of time. Currently, nine songs are ready for the final arrangements. We plan to write a couple more before we start recording the new album, tentatively in late-January."
Eternal Oath have uploaded a new demo track, and state: "So folks, this is the first of three songs that we recorded for promotional purposes, and we thought that why not let you guys hear some of the stuff, that we've been up to for the past months. Hope you'll like it..."
