Calgary-based KOBRA AND THE LOTUS performed at Wacken Open Air 2012, which took place in Wacken, Germany from August 2nd - 4th. Pro-shot footage from the band's live set is available below:
Kobra And The Lotus, who recently inked a deal with Universal for their new album with KISS legend Gene Simmons on board with Simmons Records as a partner - performed acoustically at this year's Bloodstock Open Air 2012, which was held August 10th-12th at Catton Hall in Walton On Trent, Derbyshire, England. The band recently re-released the video for their song 'Welcome To My Funeral', featuring a new mix and master by fellow Canadian Kevin Churko (FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH, OZZY OSBOURNE).
The video was originally released in June 2011 as a taste of what was to come on their new album - set to be issued a few months later - but a deal with Spinefarm/Universal in cooperation with Simmons Records delayed the proceedings. The new album was finally released on August 6th in the UK, Europe and Japan. It will be issued in North America in early 2013.
