Netherlands-based Lords Of Metal recently caught up with CHILDREN OF BODOM frontman Alexi Laiho. An excerpt is available below:

Q: How are you doing? I heard you got hospitalized with great emergency.

Laiho: "I’m doing good. Yes, I was in a hospital in Oslo, Norway but I won’t go into any further details on this one..sorry. The bottom line is that my health is good and I’m back writing music and kicking ass."

Q: Fifteen years have passed now for you. Was the decision to drop all you worked for in order to pursue a career in a band a tough one?

Laiho: "It was never even an option for me to let anything or anyone come between me and music. Sure, I have done major and sometimes difficult sacrifices for Children Of Bodom, but that’s part of the game if you wanna make it in this business."

Q: Are there any times when you wonder what your life would have been like, should you not have had the guts to jump into this?

Laiho: "I honestly have no idea, but something tells me that I would be in a very bad place had I not picked up the guitar."
