KAMELOT wrapped up their European tour in support of the Silverthorn album on November 24th in Oslo, Norway. Keyboardist Oliver Palotai has checked in with the following update:

"It is 2 a.m. and I am a bit insomniac. This afternoon we took a cat home from the animal shelter, and one reason for being sleepless is that I don´t really want to leave her alone the first night in a yet unknown surrounding. Point is I am as unknown to her as my messy touring suitcase she´s sniffing on right now - discovering smells of a dozen different countries - but maybe she appreciates the company of another sentient being. She´s curious, but also still a bit afraid, and I will remind her of that when she lies there on her chosen place, after categorizing me as lower in the evolutionary scale and made to serve, with that 'you may caress me after feeding me' look.

Funny thing she resembles me coming home from a tour. I sniff around the appartement, surprised at every corner. There´s a shower I don´t have to share with 20 other people. A fridge which follows my every command. A bed which doesn´t move. The world is full of wonders. In the past I still had some kind of After Tour- Blues, a slight depression not being on the road any more, but I guess twelve years of touring made switching easier. And I am absolutely smokin´hot for diggin´my nose into new compositions and productions.

Like my band mates I want to thank everybody for coming to our gigs, to party with us, to make Kamelot stronger than ever before! What a great metal community we have there! And part of me not being too sad is that we will be out soon again, to exchange again that fantastic energy we´ve experienced every night."
