ELYSION FIELDS Release Tour Update
December 1, 2012, 11 years ago
Chicago metal road warriors ELYSION FIELDS have released the following update:
“Last night, we had to stop playing in the middle of a song to break up a fight. Chris also called out a security guard and had him removed (temporarily) for kicking someone in the face when he was down. This is not something we are proud of, it's something that had to be done and we are not happy that we had to do it.We've all been in the music scene for a long time, whether it's been in this band or previous bands. Things like this didn't happen often, if not barely ever. People have forgotten what shows are about, and it's extremely frustrating to see how downhill the music scene has gone over the years. Going to a show used to be about supporting the band and having a good time dancing and letting out your anger in the pits, but careful enough to not hurt anyone or help them up when they fell. Now it's about fighting, picking up a date, and bragging rights. What happened?
We DO NOT condone fighting at our shows, and if it happens we will stop what we are doing and have everyone involved removed from the venue with no questions asked. Take that crap elsewhere, don't ruin the fun for people who come to our shows to hang out with us and have a good time.
We love all of you, and we apologize for the interruption if you we're at our show last night.”
The band signed with Innerstrength Records in October.
Elysion Fields will release their debut full-length album, New Beginnings, on February 12th.
