Anneke van Giersbergen (ex-THE GATHERING, DEVIN TOWNSEND, AYREON) has been nominated for an Edison Award, Holland's most prestigious music prize. Her fellow contenders are Sabrina Starke and Trijntje Oosterhuis.

Anneke says: "I'm proud and happy to be nominated. Everything Is Changing was released one year ago and many wonderful things have happened since then. The tour is still going strong and with the new record starting next week, I couldn't be happier. I congratulate my two fellow nominees, I'm in excellent company!"

An independent voting academy decides on the nominees and winners. The Edison Pop 2013 event will be held on February 11th in Amsterdam. The Edison music award is an annual Dutch music prize, awarded for outstanding achievements in the music industry. It is one of the oldest music awards in the world, having been presented since 1960.
