KISS Folk/Rock Cover Album Due In April

Berlin-based songwriter MARCEESE is set to release a varied folk/rock cover album based on KISS. The album, titled Baby Driver, will be released on CD and digipack on April 18th through Till Midnight Records. The album will feature a psychedelic version of ‘Cold Gin’ over ten minutes long as well as a MUMFORD AND SONS vibe with ‘Strutter’.
Comments Marceese: “At the age of seven, I went to the Savoy Cinema in Berlin-Spandau. They were showing KISS Meets The Phantom Of The Park. I sat in the first row with a tape recorder and recorded the whole movie. When I listened to it, I heard myself singing ‘I wanna rock and roll all night and pauli everyday’. I thought they were singing ‘pauli everyday’. Hmmm. Since those days, it’s always been my dream to be Ace Frehley, playing guitar and flying over the stage or something spacy like that. Years later when I started playing guitar, I had the idea of covering each KISS song of their masked era. So, here comes phase one.”
