GLENN DANZIG Accepts Acting Role In Thomas Mignone's Vanessa Del Rio Biopic

GLENN DANZIG has agreed to an acting role in director Thomas Mignone's upcomung Vanessa Del Rio feature film biopic, which stars Michael Rooker (Walking Dead), and is describied as 'Boogie Nights meets Taxi Driver'. The gritty film takes place in NYC's Times Square circa late 1970s and Danzig will play a violent thug.
For a brief time, Thomas Mignone will offer a limited edition off 66 shooting scripts for fans, signed by Glenn Danzig. For those interested, head to this location.
To mark the 25th anniversary of his solo album of the same name, Danzig will be playing a three-date UK headline tour later this year – his first since 2005.
Proceedings kick off at Manchester’s Academy on June 19th, hitting Wolverhampton’s Civic Hall the next day and ending this milestone celebration at London’s famous Roundhouse venue on June 24th.
In a career that has spanned across five decades, Danzig has mastered a meld of punk, doom, gothic new wave and an intense California twist on black Satanic metal. The prospect of hearing 'Mother', 'Twist Of Cain', 'Am I Demon' and 'She Rides' live would be enough to whet the appetites of any fans, but perhaps most poignant will be the addition of Doyle Von Frankenstein at all three shows. This will mark the first and perhaps only time that UK audiences will see Danzig and Doyle perform a MISFITS set together in addition to the full Danzig set, and is not to be missed.
