Former IRON MAIDEN Singer PAUL DI'ANNO On Death Of Clive Burr - "You Will Always Be In My Heart"

There has been an outpouring of emotion from fans and bands when the IRON MAIDEN camp sadly announced that Clive Burr - the drummer on the band's life-changing first three albums (Iron Maiden, Killers and The Number Of The Beast) - had passed away after a long battle with Multiple Sclerosis on March 12th at the age of 56.
More bands have expressed their thoughts and condolences below including his former bandmate, singer PAUL DI'ANNO, who also posted a photo from days gone by.
Paul Di'Anno: "Sad to hear of your passing. You will always be in my heart, Clive. A truly unique talent, that will never be forgotten."
Bill Ward (BLACK SABBATH): "My wife and I respectfully send our condolences to the family and friends of Clive Burr. Thank you, Clive for all you’ve brought to rock’s history. My wife Jackie particularly liked Clive’s drumming and was a huge fan."

Chris Caffery (TRANS-SIBERIAN ORCHESTRA, SAVATAGE): "I remember meeting Clive Burr from Iron Maiden when I was 13. He was an awesome drummer and a nice guy. He was struck with the same terrible disease that my sister and many friends are affected by...MS. Today he passed away but his drumming on the few Iron Maiden recordings he did and the concert moments I witnessed with him will always be in my memory...RIP Clive !
