In 1979, TANK's own Mick Tucker formed a band that were leading lights of the early NWOBHM revolution. AXIS were one of the first signings to the legendary Neat Records and their debut single, 'Lady / Messiah' was a classic, cited by Lars Ulrich as a major influence on the early sound of METALLICA.

Finally, over 30 years on, the Axis album is at last available. Flame Burns On contains the only six studio tracks recorded by Axis, along with seven live bootleg and rehearsal recordings. The sound quality of the live tracks is variable, but important to include as the only known recordings of Axis on stage. Many of these tracks have never been released and only two ever available digitally.

Released digitally around the world, Flame Burns On gives you a chance to discover one of the roots of heavy metal, and hear the amazing talent of a young Mick Tucker.
