The 2013 edition of the annual ROCK MEETS CLASSIC European tour kicked off on February 18th in Berlin, Germany and ended on March 17 in Zürich, Switzerland. Backing vocalist AMANDA SOMERVILLE (TRILLIUM, AVANTASIA) has issued the sixth in a series of her traditional tour updates below.

Says Somerville: "Here we go into Landshut, a beautiful Bavarian town, where we had a day off to bond and shop, eat, relax and storm the local music shop with our goat versions. You'll get to see our light engineer, Rainer, and our FOH, Achim, plus some more live footage from the Somerville stage cam, of course! Then we're off to Munich, where you'll also get to see an awesome solo intro by the talented young viola player Lukas Cach from the Bohemian Symphony Orchestra Prague with some tidbits in between. Then we end up with it turning my birthday at midnight - yay!"

Rock Meets Classic also featured PRIMAL FEAR bandmates Mat Sinner (bass/master of ceremonies), Alex Beyrodt (guitars), Ralf Scheepers (backing vocals) and Randy Black (drums) as part of THE MAT SINNER BAND. It also features Avantasia's Oliver Hartmann (guitars), Jimmy Kresic (keyboards), Tiffany Kirkland (backing vocals), Kolinda Brozovic (backing vocals) and Sascha Krebs (backing vocals).

Now into its fourth year, Rock Meets Classic showcased classic rock artists of the '70s and '80s performing their hits backed by a full-on rock band and an orchestra. Artists on this year's tour include Paul Rodgers (BAD COMPANY, FREE), Eric Bazilian (THE HOOTERS), Chris Thompson (MANFRED MANN'S EARTH BAND), Steve Augeri (JOURNEY), and Bonnie Tyler.
