Last night (March 21st) LED ZEPPELIN received the inaugural International Lifetime Achievement Award, at the ECHO awards in Berlin, Germany last night (March 21st). Both Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones accepted the award on behalf of the band.

SCORPIONS' legends Klaus Meine and Rudolf Schenker attended the event. The band received the very same lifetime achievement award at the ECHO awards in 2009.

"A very special moment for me last night when Klaus and I met Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones from Led Zeppelin," Schenker remarked. "Jimmy Page is still my hero."

“As long as we can be an inspiration, either as a group or individually or whatever… I mean as far as I’m concerned, that is my life time achievement: that people will be inspired by the music,” said guitarist Jimmy Page.
