KISS bassist/vocalist GENE SIMMONS recounts meeting LED ZEPPELIN guitar legend JIMMY PAGE in New York City:

"So, (wife) Shannon, (son) Nick and I are sitting at the Four Seasons Hotel in New York. And Ross Halfin, rock photographer impresario walks over to say hello, having just photographed us in Australia – and who is standing right beside him? Jimmy Page!!!

Nick just about had heart palpitations. I quickly grabbed my phone and took a photo. And Jimmy, as always, is the consummate gentleman. Hail the RiffMaster of them all."

In a new video interview with Access Hollywood, Simmons and KISS bandmate, vocalist/guitarist PAUL STANLEY discuss their restaurant chain, Rock & Brews and they discuss their professional friendship, which has spanned four decades.

Check out the five-minute chat below:

January 2013 marked four decades since KISS was born. Forty years later, having racked up 28 US gold albums along with 40 million US and 100 million in world sales, Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley, with longtime members guitarist Tommy Thayer and drummer Eric Singer, return stronger than ever.

Released in late 2012, through Universal Music, Monster marks the 20th studio album in the band’s historic career. The 12-song (plus bonus track), straight-ahead rock ‘n’ roll album features collaborations from all four members in an effort that shows KISS at the top of its game. Monster is the group’s first studio album since the band’s 2009 smash success Sonic Boom, and was also produced by Paul Stanley with Greg Collins at Conway Studios in Hollywood, CA, and The Nook in Studio City, CA.

It doesn’t get bigger than Monster, or KISS for that matter, 40 years old and ready to kick the asses of any young rock pretenders out there. The Monster is KISS at its larger-than-life best.
