Legendary LED ZEPPELIN / ROLLING STONES Producer Andy Johns Passes

According to Noise11.com, producer/engineer Andy Johns, who worked on classic albums like LED ZEPPELIN IV and the ROLLING STONES' Exile On Main Street, has died.
Johns came from a family of sound engineers. His older brother is Glyn Johns (THE WHO, EAGLES, Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin) and his nephew is Ethan Johns.
Andy Johns began his career as a tape operator in Olympic Studios in London working with ROD STEWART, JETHRO TULL and HUMBLE PIE.
Johns worked with the Rolling Stones from 1968-1973 and captured the sounds for Exile On Main Street from Keith Richards’ mansion in the South of France in the early '70s.
He then moved to Los Angeles and worked with OZZY OSBOURNE, JOE SATRIANI and VAN HALEN.
