Guitar legend JOE SATRIANI will release his 14th studio album, Unstoppable Momentum, on May 7th through Epic Records. Listen to the entire album before it is released, exclusively at MSN Music's Listening Booth, here.

The new video, for the album track, 'A Door Into Summer', can be seen below, courtesy of RollingStone.com. The video, conceived as a musical journey of sorts, was actually shot as Satriani and his band made their way to the legendary Skywalker Sound studio, on the famed Skywalker Ranch in the Bay Area.

The video features a behind-the-scenes look at the band arriving, setting up and starting the album recording process intercut with a collage of stills from the album cover photo shoot. Watch below:

Unstoppable Momentum was recorded at Skywalker Sound in the Bay Area and produced by Satriani and Mike Fraser (AC/DC). The album features an amazing array of talented players including: Vinnie Colauita (STING, JEFF BECK) on drums, Chris Chaney (JANE'S ADDICTION) on bass and on keyboards, Mike Keneally (DETHKLOK).

Eleven songs were selected to record, all “heading in different directions and touching on a variety of musical influences.” With that in mind, Satriani decided to assemble a new studio band. “The idea was to crank up the energy level of the sessions, and allow for more individual expression of the material from each player. The chemistry with Mike, Chris and Vinnie was fantastic and we blazed through all of the tracks with everyone laying down amazing performances.”

Joe will be the featured guest on US nationally syndicated radio show Rockline with host Bob Coburn, on May 8th at 8:30 PM, PT/11:30 PM, ET.

Satriani has announced a new US tour, supporting his latest album Unstoppable Momentum. The tour is set to launch on August 29th in San Diego, CA before hitting Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Phoenix, Albuquerque, Denver, Texas and heading east to New York, Boston and Upper Darby, PA before winding up in late October back on the west coast with a show on October 26th in Oakland, CA.

Joining Satriani on the road are veteran band mate Mike Keneally (FRANK ZAPPA, STEVE VAI) on keyboards, along with a new rhythm-section, featuring bassist Bryan Beller (DETHKLOK, DWEEZIL ZAPPA) and drummer Marco Minnemann (ADRIAN BELEW, STEVE WILSON).
