According to Beritajakarta.com, the decision of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) to set a bass guitar from METALLICA's Robert Trujilo, as a state-owned property, is agreed by Jakarta Governor Jokowi Widodo as the recipient of the guitar. However, Jokowi suggests that the guitar would be better placed in museum rather than being auctioned.
According to Jokowi, if the guitar is auctioned, it will be owned by other, not him. But if it is placed in the museum, it will be a memorial. “I think the guitar should be placed in museum. If it is auctioned, I may loose and the guitar will be owned by someone else,” he expressed, Tuesday (May 28).
Jokowi predicts the guitar price reaches Rp 8 million (approx. $150,000 US/CDN). If the guitar is auctioned, people might offer it up to billions of rupiah. He also praised KPK for being so thorough in looking for gratification indications which have its own formula. “We have gratification formula. If an act is defined as gratification, then it is,” he stated.
