30 years ago today (May 28th, 1983), RAPIDFIRE appeared at Gazzarri’s On The Sunset Strip, in Los Angeles, CA. The band featured singer Axl Rose, who was seen for the first time by guitarist SLASH who was in the audience. Before GUNS N' ROSES, there was HOLLYWOOD ROSE. Before Hollywood Rose there was Rapidfire.

Rapidfire also featured Kevin Lawrence on guitar, Mike Hamernik on bass and Chuck Gordon on drums.

Kevin Lawrence has posted a sample of 'Ready To Rumble' by Rapidfire, recorded May 25, 1983. These were Axl's first studio recordings which have never been made public.
