Toronto-based FAMOUS UNDERGROUND will headline the Rock Social at the Opera House in town on June 7th. Frontman Nick Walsh recently spoke with Joe Cahill at 97.7 HTZ FM in St. Catharines, Ontario about the event. Check out the interview here.

Famous Underground posted the following statement regarding the event:

"The idea behind the event came about when the band wanted to host a show that was more than a visual and aural spectacle but a place where fans of the rock scene and lifestyle could come together and connect. Rock Social is this place and more. This will be a hub for this lifestyle of like-minded people to come together, socialize, feel the energy and hear the music.

To enhance the excitement for the evening we will showcase products and brands that the fans can identify with that pertain to their lifestyle, such as motorcycles, tattoo culture, giveaways and contests."

Famous Underground recently inked a world-wide two album deal with German label Dust On The Tracks Records (DOTT). The group's self-titled debut album, which is slated for release on June 7th, will be released through Sony (Europe), MVD (USA), RSK (UK) and Universal (Canada). The band has released an official video for the new song 'Necropolis', which can be viewed below:

Folks that remember life before grunge may recall the Canadian hard rock outfit kicking up a proverbial storm in the early '90s. SLIK TOXIK achieved Gold status in Canada with their full length Doin' The Nasty, and took home the 1993 Juno Award (Canada's version of the Grammy) for Best Album Of The Year. Sadly, in spite of their success, Slik Toxik called it quits in 1995 as grunge tightened its hold on the music scene. Nick Walsh and lead guitarist Rob Bruce formed the modern rock/hardrock band RAISED ON MARS, and together they released a self-titled debut. Walsh went on to form the hardrock band REVOLVER with CRASH KELLY's guitarist Sean Kelly. Revolver have produced two albums, one being a CD/DVD set. In 2011 the band changed its name to Famous Underground.
