On May 22nd, legendary bassist BILLY SHEEHAN hosted a Hartke Clinic at Guitar Center New York City in Manhattan; video footage from the event can be seen below:
Sheehan, along with drummer Mike Portnoy (ADRENALINE MOB, ex-DREAM THEATER), and guitarist/vocalist Richie Kotzen (ex-POISON, ex-MR. BIG) have joined forces in THE WINERY DOGS. The trio issued their self-titled debut on May 15th in Japan via Victor Entertainment, and it will be released in North America on July 23rd via Loud & Proud Records.
Sheehan recently commented, "I love that there are so many things buried in the tracks on the record that I must faithfully reproduce live. Live is where it's at, always! When I did the recording, I just let it fly. Now I have to lock into what I did, and make it breathe. Actually, my favorite thing."
