Guitarist FELIX MARTIN Reveals New Album Details
July 17, 2013, 11 years ago
Genre-defying guitarist FELIX MARTIN will release his Prosthetic studio debut, The Scenic Album, in North America on September 17th. The album's cover artwork features Martin's unique, self-invented 14-string guitar - a combination of two left-handed 7-string guitars onto a singular wide neck which enables both instruments to be played simultaneously.
The Scenic Album skillfully fuses elements of progressive metal, jazz, world music and fusion, and features fellow Berklee School of Music alumnus Nathan Navarro on bass and acclaimed percussionist Marco Minnemann (NECROPHAGIST, STEVEN WILSON, THE ARISTOCRATS) on drums. More information on the release will be revealed in the coming weeks.
Soon after signing with Prosthetic in 2012 and releasing the live album Live in Boston, Martin embarked on his first-ever American tour following a successful seven-week tour throughout Europe. Earlier this year, the Venezuelan innovator was seen performing at the annual NAMM Convention in Southern California at the booth of Seymour Duncan pickups, who praised his "incredible level of skill, musicality, dexterity and dedication."
