BOBBY JARZOMBEK Issues FATES WARNING, SEBASTIAN BACH Album And Tour Update
August 2, 2013, 11 years ago
Drummer Bobby Jarzombek (FATES WARNING, SEBASTIAN BACH, HALFORD) has issued the following update:
Big Fates Warning news as InsideOutMusic has just announced the album title and release date and unveiled the artwork for the new album! The record is called Darkness In A Different Light and will be out September 30th in Europe and November 1st in North America. This is the band's first new studio album in almost 10 years and my first with them. Needless to say, I'm pretty damn excited because we've put a lot of hard work into this record - I know I certainly have. Once again, Jim (Matheos) has written some amazing songs which, in my estimation, are every bit as good as what we did with ARCH / MATHEOS a couple of years ago - and Ray (Alder) is singing great! Read the official press release on the Fates website and stay tuned for further details and advance music as we get closer to the actual release.
Less than a week after the album drops, we’re kicking off our European tour headlining ProgPower Europe in Holland and hitting many now familiar Fates tour stops from there, including Turock, Colos-Saal, Z7 and Gagarin. Our last Euro run was such a blast – hopefully this one will be even better! The North American tour starts in mid-November in Illinois and takes us into mid-December when we close things out for the year up in the Northwest. See the Fates website for the full itinerary.
But before Fates gets going I’ll be hitting the road with Sebastian Bach for a few more dates. We’ve got the Fredrock up in Canada, followed by a handful of Upper Midwest shows with RATT, DOKKEN and LITA FORD, before we make our way down to South America in September for Rock In Rio and a Sao Paulo one-off. I got to play Rock In Rio back in 2001 with Halford rockin’ in front of 250,000 Brazilians – talk about a rush! SA is always a great time because the fans are sooo into it - Rio should be a madhouse!
Dates are as follows:
August
10 - Fredericton, NB - Fredrock Festival15 - Mankato, MN - Vetter Stone Amphitheater
16 - Moline, IL - iWireless Center
17 - Chicago, IL - Congress Theater
18 - Kalamazoo, MI - Wings Stadium
19 - Rio de Janeiro, Brazil - Rock In Rio Festival
22 - Sao Paulo, Brazil - Carioca Club
"On the homefront, I’ve been recording the new THOMSEN album at my studio after doing most of the tracks on their 2009 debut, Let’s Get Ruthless, as well. Straight, in-your-face quality German metal.
Last but certainly not least, I am proud to announce that I am now a Samson Technologies endorsee! These guys make some killer gear and I'm very happy to be part of the family. They just sent me a bunch of stuff which will all be put to extensive use in my studio from here on out. For more info visit their website at Ssamsontech.com."
