SAIGON KICK guitarist Jason Bieler has recorded a cover of the ELO hit 'Don't Bring Me Down' for his OWL STRETCHING side project, which he told BW&BK; first-hand is "a constantly morphing project with different guests that I use as a vehicle to release new music." Check it out via the audio player below.

Bieler - self-proclaimed guitar god, hand model and king of the world - recently updated his official blog page with the following "thank you" post:

"Danke, Tack, Arigato, Spasibo, Merci, Terima Kasih, Grazie, Gracias and thanks!

Just so humbled by the response and love shown to the band over the last few months that I wanted to write a little short thank you note about it. When you consider how much time we were MIA to pursue other aspects of life, art and business and of course wishing horrible medieval torture and plague upon each other, it is truly amazing to see the same passion, if not more so from people all over the world over the last few months. From press to peers and from TV to radio…it really is…. well, humbling."

It seems Saigon Kick are the musical equivalent of the cicada; we lay dormant and irrelevant for many years only to awaken and create quite a racket. Life doesn’t hand out many second chances to bands. Hell, sometimes it doesn’t even hand out first chances, so the ability to do this again and have people care this much has left its mark on us and I for one am grateful.

We always heard and hear comments like, 'You guys were way ahead of your time, you guys were lumped in with the wrong bands, you guys were misunderstood' etc. Whatever the path that has led us to this point is fine with me. I don’t feel like the universe owed us any more than we got. So long story short, we are not trying to reclaim glory or on a mission to correct some cosmic musical wrong. I think we have simply found an appreciation for this particular moment in time that we have been able to share with you and whether for one night, a few months, years or decades to come…I just wanted to say thanks.

Your intensity, your belief and your voices have been heard and inspiring…so let's take this interesting and amazing ride together and see where it leads."

Saigon Kick will be headlining Revolution Live in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida on Friday, November 15th "for the official hometown blow out of the century." Fans are advised to get their tickets early, as their previous show in town sold out quickly.

Tickets will be $20 and will go on sale July 27th. Go to this location for more event details.

As previously reported, the band will play in Orlando, FL at The Social on August 9th. Ticket information and details can be found here.
