CHRIS CAFFERY (TRANS-SIBERIAN ORCHESTRA, SAVATAGE) will soon release a new solo single, 'Death By Design'.

Caffery checks in with the following update via Facebook: "I wanted to take a few minutes to thank you all for your continued support and friendship! Today we passed 50,000 likes here. I am really excited that so many friends and fans from all over the world come by to see my crazy little piece of the world.

I have been posting about my new single that I will release soon. I have decided when and how I want to do this. Throughout my career there have been so many blessings. A lot of ups and a lot of downs. The downs are usually the ugly side of the music business that we all hear about but I don't really like to speak about. People and companies that take from you without giving you back what you deserve. This can be financially or just plain emotionally.

However, the one part of my career that has always given back to me is the fans. So... on my birthday September 9th, 2013 the song will be available as a free download to all of you. I am working out the details now. It will be for a limited time 100% free.

"The new ChrisCaffery.com is almost finished. The working model is up and being added to on a daily basis. This song will have a link there, somewhere and somehow. All I will ask is a thanks on a guestbook or mailing list. I think its a pretty fair deal?! On my birthday I'd like to give you all a gift.

So I obviously have to have it all finished by then! This song has been fun, kinda like an albums worth of work in any one element but as a complete work. I wrote the music and lyrics, engineered and recorded it. Played the guitars, drums, bass and keyboards. I did all of the singing. I have a little lead guitar work left then the mixing and mastering! I also did the cover art myself. For me it has been a lot more work then if I did one entire record of guitars alone!

Once again thank you for the years and years of support and friendship! 50,000 and growing... I look at the stats so many different countries and continents here... from North and South America to the Far East and Australia. Europe and the Middle East. Just about everywhere you can imagine! Also, a huge thanks to all of the amazing musicians I have had the privilege of working with throughout the past 30 years. Alive or in the heavens the magic happened with all of you together."
