SABATON frontman Joakim Broden, speaking to Zisis Petkanas from the Greek-based 'zine Rock Overdose about the forthcoming Swedish Empire Live release, was asked about any news from the Sabaton camp, and revealed the following:

"I have a few days off and started working on the next album already. About its direction it will be about war as usual, we do have some ideas but we don't want to reveal anything yet 'cause sometimes we change our plans in the last minute. I don't know if it will be our best album to date or the worst but I can say that I will certainly try every fucking thing I can do, to make it as good as possible! The plan is to it get out before the next summer and if it all goes well, in the second of January we'll start recording and on the 15th of February we'll leave the master to Nuclear Blast Records."
