ALICE COOPER Drummer Glen Sobel Sits In With STEEL PANTHER For VAN HALEN Cover; Video Streaming

ALICE COOPER drummer Glen Sobel (whose other credits include ORIANTHI, BEAUTIFUL CREATURES, SIXX: A.M. and PAUL GILBERT) was a guest performer at Monday night's STEEL PANTHER show at the House of Blues in West Hollywood, CA.
Sobel performed the VAN HALEN classic 'Hot For Teacher' as well as a short drum solo. Also joining in was Joe Lester, bassist of famed Van Halen tribute band THE ATOMIC PUNKS, which Steel Panther band mates Ralph Saenz (Michael Starr) and Russ Parrish (Satchel) were long-time members of. Alice Cooper has announced most of the dates for the fall leg of his Raise The Dead tour. The trek begins in early October with stops in Russia and Estonia as well as US and Canadian shows.
Cooper has been working on a forthcoming covers record with producer Bob Ezrin (KISS, PINK FLOYD, JANE'S ADDICTION) at the helm. The new collection of songs will be released sometime early in 2014.
