Having been found guilty of abusing his wife and daughters, vocalist Tobias Sidegård has been fired from Swedish black metallers NECROPHOBIC. Back in September it was announced Sidegård will serve six months in prison (reduced from 18) for his conviction on child and spousal abuse charges. Sidegard was also ordered to pay his wife roughly $2,500 in damages.

The band have issued the following statement: "Tobias is no longer a member of Necrophobic. The verdict following his trial regrettably left us, the band, with no other choice. As stated before, Necrophobic do not accept or tolerate domestic violence in any way. We will now search for a replacement. Tobias will make a statement of his own within the next couple of days, which he will publish on his Facebook page."

Necrophobic will release their seventh album, entitled Womb Of Lilithu, on October 25th in Europe, and October 29th in North American via Season Of Mist.
