KISS, DEEP PURPLE, NIRVANA, YES and PETER GABRIEL are among the 16 acts eligible for induction for The Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame 2014. The complete list includes: THE REPLACEMENTS, HALL AND OATES, THE PAUL BUTTERFIELD BLUES BAND, CHIC, LL COOL J, N.W.A., LINK WRAY, THE METERS, LINDA RONSTADT, CAT STEVENS, and THE ZOMBIES.
In a video report from Artisan News, Nirvana's Krist Novoselic talks Nirvana beginnings, while Jon Anderson talks YES and Paul Stanley talks KISS in the Rock Hall.
Starting last year, the process expanded to include a fan vote. Fans can weigh in with their choices starting October 16 and continuing through December 10 at 2 p.m. Pacific time at the Rock Hall’s official website.
The top five vote-getters will constitute the “fans’ ballot” that will be counted among the other 600 to be voted on by previous living inductees, musicians, historians, journalists, critics and music industry personnel.
