SHANE GAALAAS Issues New Solo Album; Makes Cover Of Rhythm & Drums Magazine

L.A.-based Canadian drummer/multi-instrumentalist/songwriter SHANE GAALAAS (COSMOSQUAD, DIESEL MACHINE, GLENN HUGHES, MSG) has annouced the worldwide digital release of his third solo album, Ascend, which was issued June 12th in Japan on Zain Records. The record contains six originals along with an English language re-interpretation of the song 'Brotherhood' by Japanese rock superstars B'Z, with whom Gaalaas has been touring and recording for the past decade.
Ascend was recorded, mixed and mastered at Gaalaas' Crumb West Studios in Simi Valley, CA and features Gaalaas on vocals, guitars, bass, drums and keyboards, in addition to handling engineering and production duties. Fellow Canadian musician Cory Churko, brother of OZZY OSBOURNE producer/collaborator Kevin Churko, co-wrote and played guitar on 'Wish You Well"'and contributed lead guitar on 'Brotherhood'.
