In celebration of MOTÖRHEAD’s cannonating new slab Aftershock, BraveWords has been to serving up the 20 most shocking events in the life of Lem and Co! We've been soaking in all the gruesome glory and historical heavy metal, and it's time for #1!

#1 - Lemmy, it appears, is not indestructible. Grave health concerns of various mysterious sorts find Lemmy cutting back the band’s activity in 2011, 2012, 2013, with rumours of impending retirement swirling in the air like smoke from cheap cigarettes. Respiratory infections, a collapse on stage in Germany (BraveWords was at Wacken when it happened - check out our report here) … ergo, it’s beautiful we get a new record, and one so robust of form, not to mention slated tour dates with which to slay the faithful. Long live Lemmy!
