Civil War have been hard at work on new material. A recent band update states: "We are working on songs for the next album. Without saying too much we can reveal that it will be more power and more metal!! We have also added one more date to the tour and ticket info for the German gigs. More cool news will be out soon but for now we say over and out heading back to the woods for some serious moose hunting!"

Cival War recently released their video for the track 'Gettysburg', featured on the band's debut album The Killer Angels, out now on Despotz Records.

"This is from us to you, to honor the memory of the 150th Anniversary of the Battle of Gettysburg and a small poof of appreciation for the fantastic support you have showed us," commented the band. "We travelled across our native Sweden and a short stop in wonderful Budapest, Hungary this summer doing show after show with a response no one could dream of. Thank you for your support. Bow your head in respect for the ones who lost their life so many years ago on the battlefield of Gettysburg. We salute YOU!"

Civil War have also announced that their debut album, The Killer Angels, has been certified Gold in the band's home country of Sweden, selling more than 20,000 copies.

The members of Civil War were presented with their Gold plaques before headlining the Metal War festival in Budapest earlier this month.

Commented the band, "Selling 20,000-plus in our home country is something none of us could ever imagine when getting into the sessions leading up to the album. Even though we felt we made a solid record, getting these numbers was still something we couldn't predict upon our wildest imagination."

"The band has received great international support from their fans, and it shows with growing sales and upcoming tours as a result. This is just the beginning of a brilliant career.
