Report: AEROSMITH Lovers My Have To Just 'Dream On'

As popular as legendary rock band AEROSMITH may be in their home state, supporters of an effort to make their hit ‘Dream On’ the official rock song of the commonwealth couldn’t find much love on Beacon Hill Thursday.

Not a single witness, not even the sponsors of the bill to make the 1970s rock anthem the state rock song, offered live testimony on behalf of the bill at a hearing of the State Administration and Oversight Committee.

After dispensing with a few miscellaneous pieces of legislation, the hearing was dominated by testimony in support of a competing bill, that would enshrine JONATHAN RICHMAN AND THE MODERN LOVERS’ 'Roadrunner', an ode to driving the highways of Massachusetts, as the state’s top rock track.
