December 20, 2013, 10 years ago
Don Powell, drummer for legendary UK rockers SLADE, is featured in a new interview with Mick Burgess at Metal Express Radio. Powell talks about the old days and the possibility of a new album next year.
Slade emerged as the front runners of glam rock in the early '70s. With their riotous foot stomping anthems and glitter encrusted image they topped the UK charts on no fewer than six occasions. Their music inspired a generation of musicians with the likes of KISS, CHEAP TRICK, HANOI ROCKS and QUIET RIOT all citing them as a major influence.
