ASTARTE's Maria "Tristessa" Kolokouri In "Critical Condition" Fighting Leukemia

Maria "Tristessa" Kolokouri, leader of Athens-based all-female black metal band ASTARTE is currently fighting leukemia and is in critical condition. The following note from her husband Nicolas Maiis has just been posted on Facebook:

"Unfortunately the fate is hard and the life even harder in our case. Our beloved Maria is in critical condition, fighting minute-by-minute for her life due to a form of leukemia. We, her family, are beside with her and we are trying to keep her strong. The people who know Maria, have knowledge of what a strong person she is and that she is a unique human being and always kind to everyone. As a mother she is always at her son's side and always is standing strong for me to support me. Now it is the time to stand by her side with our positive energy and say a prayers to any god we may believe or not. Make a true wish deep down from you hearts so Maria will feel all the good energy and take courage from your hearts and to have the hope that is needed. The doctor said a miracle is needed. don’t know from whom or what just please pray. Maria is needing all the hope in our hearts. I need that and our son Antonios Nearchos Maiis needs that."
