hot flashes news

The biggest Danish metal label Mighty Music has since 2011 annually held the succesful music competition Mighty Fight Night at prestigious venues in Copenhagen. This year the competition will be held March 7th at Pumpehuset. The winning band will get a spot on the biggest metal festival in Denmark, Copenhell (that already have announced Iron Maiden as headliner) and furthermore a professionel release via Mighty Music.

The Mighty Fight Night concept is now returning for the fourth time in a row. Mighty Music CEO Michael H. Andersen explains why there is a need for such a concept:

"We don't believe that there's enough focus on the new Danish metal scene at larger venues and in the mainstream press. Therefore we are using our forces to develop, produce, promote and execute a show like MFN. This type of event can gather and focus on metal bands who otherwise would find it difficult to make themselves heard on the various platforms. With an essential help from COPENHELL we have created something that we are really proud of, and that I hope we can be doing in many years from now."

Last year's winner, FALL OF PANTHEON, and the new Mighty Music band BLOOD LABEL, will be headlining the show, besides the four upcoming bands that will be competing for the prices.
