APOCALYPTICA's Perttu Kivilaakso has checked in with the following update:

"This year will be insanely exciting and full of cool things and stuff to do. First we'll compose and rehearse still a 'few more songs for the next Apo-album. In March we'll will hit the road again (Finland, Russia, Germany, Lithuania, Estonia).

End of spring/summer will bring us sweet studio-time, couple of gigs (Wagner in Leipzig and Wacken). There's also great plans for more gigs in autumn. Then we're already in the next year and release of Project8. How cool is that?

I wish you all the best, better and beast! See you at the gigs and places..."

Apocalyptica recently premiered the new video for 'Stormy Wagner', featured on the band's new live album, Wagner Reloaded – Live in Leipzig, for which the band teamed with the acclaimed MDR Leipzig Symphony Orchestra. The album’s release is perfectly timed since 2013 marks the 200th anniversary of the birth of iconic German composer Richard Wagner.

"It’s complex to record a live album with an orchestra, because there are so many lines, microphones and there’s one stupid drummer, who beats the shit out of the drums and creates so much noise that everything is spoiled afterwards,” laughs Apocalyptica's cellist Eicca Toppinen while nodding to drummer Mikko Siren. “It’s a challenge, we prepared well in advance, and Sven Helbig, the orchestrator, did a great job in making it run together, it works."

Apocalyptica stopped by 'ZDF-Morgenmagazin' TV in Germany for a stripped-down acoustic performance of 'Flight Of The Valkyries' and 'Ludwig Wonderland' off Wagner Reloaded – Live in Leipzig. Watch below:
