SLIPKNOT and STONE SOUR frontman Corey Taylor and director Robert Hall have joined the Texas Frightmare Weekend lineup.

TFW 2014 attendees will have the distinct opportunity to be the first to see exclusive clips from Fear Clinic on Saturday, May 3rd. Following the clips Hall and Taylor will take the stage to field questions from the audience.

Fear Clinic is Corey Taylor’s first featured role in a film. He plays the sarcastic and street-smart orderly Bauer. The role saw Corey acting alongside horror genre icon Robert Englund as well as stars Fiona Dourif, Thomas Dekker and Kevin Gage. “Working with Corey was amazing,” says director Robert Hall. “He’s such a huge horror fan and his enthusiasm and excitement shine through. His involvement brings the film to a whole new level, and fans are going to freak when they see him in the role.”

As a lifetime horror fan, Corey Taylor said, “I’m such a horror geek, comic geek and action figure geek. I’m inspired by so much—from Hunter S. Thompson and Quentin Tarantino to The Dark Knight and Halloween. Just show me something that doesn’t suck, and I’m happy,” he laughs.

It was recently that Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame inductee ACE FREHLEY would appear at the Texas Frightmare Weekend.

A description of Texas Frightmare Weekend: “Texas Frightmare Weekend is presented in association with Rue Morgue Magazine. Conceived by Loyd and Sue Cryer in 2005 as a three day horror convention, the event takes place annually in the Dallas Fort Worth metroplex. True to its motto, ‘The Southwest’s Premier Horror Convention’, our goal is to provide fans with an unrivaled experience by celebrating all aspects of genre films. Texas Frightmare Weekend hosts celebrity appearances, autograph signings, screenings, exclusive parties and horror memorabilia vendors from all over the country. The event is also extremely proud to have featured the rising talents of many Texas “Frightmakers” in screenings, panel discussions and Q & A’s.”
