OBSESSION Announce Addition Of Drummer Yanni Sofianos

OBSESSION, featuring vocalist Michael Vescera (LOUDNESS, YNGWIE MALMSTEEN) has announce the addition of drummer Yanni Sofianos to the band lineup.

“We have been jamming with Yanni for a while now, writing new songs for the upcoming album, and we are very excited to introduce him to the world! His amazing technical abilities help to take the new Obsession material to another level.”

Born in Greece, some examples of Yanni’s work include drums on the album Transmissions Through Oil And Blood with CT metal band GUERRA, and most recently his band END-TIME ILLUSION who are currently finishing up their new album to be released late 2013/early 2014.

Obsession previously announced the addition of bassist Jeff Curtiss.

“Jeff exploded onto the metal scene only recently", said the band. "A fantastic thundering talent on the bass. You may know him from the band SYMPHONY OF MALICE, where he made his debut; he is now the ultimate low end in Obsession! We are excited to have him on board!”

Obsession will be launching a Kickstarter campaign starting this Saturday, April 12th to fund their new album.

Says the band: “This time, with Kickstarter and our fans help, we can make the album we want, the way we want to do it, without any outside influences. If we hit our goal, we will have enough to finally make the ultimate Obsession album and release it ourselves!”
