TESTAMENT Guitarist Alex Skolnick Guests On Focus On Metal; Audio Available

TESTAMENT guitarist Alex Skolnick is the featured guest on the latest episode of Focus On Metal. Besides his tenure in Testament and his other musical excursions into the world of jazz, Skolnick also took time to write a very insightful autobiography, Geek To Guitar Hero.
Skolnick is due to release his first solo album this spring, under the bannner PLANETARY COALITION. Skolnick performed a set of Planetary Coalition tracks at this winter's NAMM convention in California, and CapitalChaosTV has posted the following video of the performance:
Planetary Coalition features a core team of musicians and artists in New York, as well as special guests from across the world including RODRIGO Y GABRIELA, HORACIO HERNANDEZ, and LE TRIO JOUBRAN. The final recording will constitute of other international musicians from various countries, as explained in detail in the welcome video:
Through the universal language of music, Planetary Coalition’s goal is to bridge the gap between different cultures, increase ecological awareness, and explore the threads that connect musical expression with regional identity. We intend to deepen the connection and understanding between people, art, landscapes, and communities through music. As a musical group, we are an ethnically flavored collective of diverse musicians with a core band in New York City and potential collaborators from all over the world. Planetary Coalition is more than a band; it is a collective of people from many different walks of life and various regions of the globe.
