Stones Of Madness - the new band formed by Atheist/Neurotica frontman Kelly Shaefer and Scott Thompson (Dry Kill Logic), rounded out by Shaefer’s former Neurotica bandmates in guitarist Shawn Bowen, drummer GJ Gosman, and bassist Julia Simms has released their new EP.
"I’m so happy it's finally out really couldn't be more proud to be a part of this EP, I think it's a beast!” says Shaefer. “Working with Scott Thompson and Scoob as producers, really took my vocals in a direction I might not have ventured to without a nudge was able to find some new voices and textures and three part harmonies are running through the whole record, while the music, for the first time in my career, had ‘no hands of mine on it’ it allowed me to just sing!”
A full-length is in the works now with Scott "Scoob" Bush" in Timeline Studios in Ft Myers, Florida where the band also recorded the EP. SOM has been playing around Florida with an upcoming appearance June 7th at the Brass Mug in Tampa, FL. The full-length will include a cover version of the Rush classic “Working Man”.
