According to Focus Taiwan, Taiwanese metallers ChthoniC will hold a concert at a human rights park in New Taipei on May 31st to mark the 25th anniversary of Amnesty International (AI) Taiwan and raise funds for its causes.
The concert will take place at the Jing-mei Human Rights Memorial and Cultural Park and all proceeds from ticket sales, which have so far surpassed NT$700,000 (US$23,195) will be donated to AI Taiwan.
Through the concert the band hopes to call on the public, especially the younger generation, to participate more in activism, such as the rescue of political prisoners in other countries and campaigns against sexual exploitation.
