Bergen, Norway-based death metal act Among Gods release their sophomore album, Monument, today (May 27th) via Canadian label PRC Music. A full album stream can be found below.
Among Gods are back with their second album, a monolithic hybrid of dark, heavy doom and old school death metal. Although a lot more musical in nature, Monument still packs enough punch, hooks and drive to give every self-proclaimed metaller a run for their money.
This new album does feel more mature in every aspect, be it for the awe inspiring vocal melodies, the soaring leads and the uber addictive song structures/arrangements, Among Godsa went above and beyond to wrap this all up in a solid crystal clear production. Monument is showcasing the band's solid musicianship and its ability to write memorable songs sounding like nobody else.
