Corey Taylor “Working On” SLIPKNOT, MUSHROOMHEAD, GWAR, MUDVAYNE Tour

During the red carpet portion for the recent Monster Energy Roast On The Range with Corey Taylor, the Slipknot and Stone Sour frontman dropped some exciting news while being interviewed by Live Metal. When they brought the band (and former rivals) Mushroomhead to his attention, Taylor said he once again was working on a tour that would unite the two mask-donning bands. But that’s not all. He added that he wanted GWAR and Mudvayne to be part of the bill, as well, potentially making this one of the biggest metal tours to happen in some time.
Here are Taylor’s quotes when we put the word in for J Mann of Mushroomhead, whom we had talked with prior to our trip to Columbus, Ohio:

“I’m working on that, honestly. It probably won’t happen right away, just because (Slipknot’s) been gone for a while and we have all these changes, and we’ve got a new album coming out. So we want to kind of take the first six or seven months and just kind of re-establish ourselves. But, I can say it’s on my radar and it’s one of the things I want to do, like for real. Honestly now, especially now since (GWAR vocalist) (Dave) Brockie’s dead—that was one of the guys that I really wanted to tour with. It was GWAR, (Slipknot), Mushroomhead and Mudvayne. I really wanted to put that together. So trust me. Hopefully sooner than later we will see what happens.”Read the rest of the interview at Live-Metal.net.
