New York City rockers Streetlight Circus covered “Do You Love Me” by KISS at last week’s show at Mexicali Live in Teaneck, New Jersey. The band was joined on stage by Tom Morrisey of Killcode, another rising rock and roll force in the NYC area.
Streetlight Circus was supporting former Ace Frehley guitarist Richie Scarlet at the show. In attendance was Kelle Rhoads (brother of late Ozzy Osbourne guitarist Randy Rhoads) who sat in with a Rolling Stones tribute band that was also on the bill. Hanging at the bar was Brian Tichy (former drummer of Whitesnake and currently in the new Michael Sweet/ George Lynch project Sweet Lynch).
Streetlight Circus continues their summer tour as they road test several new songs as well as playing cuts from the band’s 2012 self-titled debut and the 2013 follow-up EP, The Snake Mountain Sessions.
“I’m very excited about the new songs,” said singer/bassist David Shaw. “We have been writing well together and so far the reaction from our fans has been very positive.”Shaw said the band hopes to begin recording a new album in the fall after the summer tour commitments are through.
