V.R.P.I. To Release Self-Titled Album This Month

July 7, 2014, 10 years ago

hot flashes news

The Memento Mori label has set July 30th as the release date for the self-titled full-length album from Vexilla Regis Prodeunt Inferi (V.R.P.I.).

V.R.P.I. is Mexico's best kept secret. With members of Necroccultus, Sargatanas, Ominous Crucifix, Supplicium and Leper Messiah in the lineup, this death metal force is stunning in its encapsulation of death metal, taking into account all that we love about the genre - the darkness, the sheer intensity, the blasphemous flavour, not to mention the music.

This experienced band can be likened to Morbid Angel, Angelcorpse, Sadistic Intent, Deicide, Vital Remains among many others - the intent is the same. Death metal of this kind and potency is rarely created and Memento Mori made sure to notice it and reissue this album, originally released in 2012, with the demo as bonus in a new packaging and artwork.

More details to follow.
