Children Of Bodom frontman Alexi Laiho has checked in with the following update:

"Hey there ladies and gentlemen. Just checking in, so let's see what's happened lately. I had my two weeks of direly needed rest/sleep and I am now back in business with the pretty hectic summer festival season that started last weekend here in Hellsinki, Finland. Tuska Open Air to be exact, which was a fuck ton of fun so thank YOU for that, amazing crowd! Ever seen a dude with corpse paint and the whole black metal gear on crowd surfing on a purple life raft? Well, I did, so that's how awesome Tuska was. And speaking of good times, we just did Ruisrock fest in Turku, Finland and that was off the hook fun, and partially my thanx go to the guys in Lost Society (check 'em out seriously, they're SICK!) for helping us to throw the best metal barbeque on the planet as far as I'm concerned! But most of my thanx, respect and love goes out to you Ruisrock Hate Crew who made noise and threw down harder than I've seen in a long fuckin' time. Mad respect!

Off the subject, I also got to see my parents which is always fun so I thought I'd share this pic with you. Me, dad, mom and my newly certified godmother on the far left. Haha! My dad and mom are the people who taught me music, believe it or not, but that's just how awesome my folks are. Luv u guys!

I'm heading back to Turku on sunday for the Local Band show, which is gonna be just ridiculously over the top sweet on every level. Come check us out and stay tuned for more pics on Sunday. Horns up my friends!"
