July 14, 2014, 10 years ago
On July 8th, former Alice Cooper guitarist Dick Wagner was admitted to hospital with breathing problems; he had his lungs washed and also underwent surgery to clean up an artery. He has since gained 30% better blood flow, but continues to suffer from a severe lung infection. Wagner is still hospitalized under observation.
Back in 2007, Dick Wagner was hit by a serious heart attack, but made a full recovery and returned to the stage again after a five year absence.
Wagner was Alice Cooper's right-hand man on the albums Welcome To My Nightmare, Goes To Hell, Lace And Whiskey, From The Inside and DaDa. He also contributed on, School's Out, Billion Dollar Babies, Muscle Of Love, Hey Stoopid, and Cooper's latest album Welcome 2 My Nightmare.
Dick Wagner was currently preparing for the upcoming album by Danish shock rocker Maryann Cotton - for whom Alice Cooper has written three songs.
