Bassist Joe Del Mastro from Australia’s VANISHING POINT has issued the following band update at the band's website regarding his decision to leave the band:

"Hi everyone. I am writing to let you all know that I am leaving Vanishing Point. My reasons are personal and it was a decision that I needed to make. Lately I've noticed my life going in a different direction. I felt a lack of passion and drive that I once felt for the band. Vanishing Point needs a member who shares the same vision and future goals. I felt it was the best thing to do for myself but more importantly for the future of Vanishing

Point. It was one of the biggest and hardest decisions that I've ever had to make. Vanishing Point has been one of the best experiences of my life. It was a childhood dream of mine to be in a band just like Vanishing Point. I have the utmost respect for Tommy (Vucur - guitar), Jack (Lukic - drums), Silvio (Massaro - vocals) and Chris (Porcianko - guitar) and I wish them all the best for the future. I thank you all for the great times and the opportunity to create and play great music with you. You are friends for life. I'd like to thank all the fans and people I've met through the band. A special thanks to all my friends and family for their support. A big thanks to everyone who has helped me throughout this wonderful journey.

Cheers, Joe Del Mastro."
